Writing from inside the app

In the app, open Settings → Support. There are two buttons:

Both open your mail app with the text ready. Nothing is sent until you press Send, and you can change anything before you do.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get for free?
All of JLPT level N5, with every exercise type. This is real studying rather than a demo — there is no time limit and no session limit. On top of that, a free allowance of AI calls every month, at no charge.
What does a purchase unlock?
Levels N4, N3, N2 and N1 — singly, in any bundle, or all at once. It is a one-time purchase: access does not expire, and the full set costs less than the levels bought separately. When you buy the rest, you pay only for what you do not already have. The AI subscription is a separate thing; it does not cover the JLPT material and never will.
I bought "Premium" earlier. Are N2 and N1 a second payment?
No. The full-set purchase from the early releases is the same product that is still in the store, and it covers every paid level, N2 and N1 included. New levels open inside it by themselves, with no second payment. If the material is locked anyway, use Restore purchases.
How does reading from a photo work?
Read from a photo recognizes Japanese text — vertical text included — using an iOS system feature, entirely on your phone. The photo goes nowhere and is not saved. The recognized sentence lands in a field you can see and correct; only pressing Analyze sends that one sentence. Nothing is added to your study until you pick it.
How does the AI subscription work?
The AI features are billed monthly or yearly, because they are the only part of the app that costs something every time it is used. It renews automatically until you turn it off, which you do in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), at the latest a day before the paid period ends. Without a subscription you get a free allowance of calls every month, and the rest of the app is unaffected. See your quota shows where you stand.
Does the subscription unlock the JLPT levels?
No, and it never will. The levels were sold as material that works without an internet connection; the subscription pays only for the model's work. Buying one does not light up the other, in either direction.
Does the app work offline?
The learning — reviews, every question type, the plan and your progress — works entirely without a connection. So does reading text from a photo, because it is computed on the phone. The internet is needed when buying or restoring a purchase, because the App Store handles that, and for the AI features, which are the only ones that use a server.
Is my progress stored anywhere outside my phone?
No. Everything stays on the device and nothing syncs to iCloud. If you want to protect your progress before changing phones or deleting the app, use Settings → Data → Export progress and keep the file. On the new device, load it with Import progress.
I lost my progress.
Progress lives on the device. If you still have it, check Settings → Data → Import progress — a backup exported earlier restores everything, review dates included. Import replaces the current study state rather than merging into it. If you reinstalled without a backup, the progress is gone and I have no copy of it, because nothing from your study is ever sent to a server.
I bought the material, but after changing phones it is locked again.
Open Settings → Purchases → Restore purchases. The same button is on the purchase screen. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID, so you can restore it on any device signed in with that same account. Make sure it is the Apple ID the purchase was made with.
Something in the Japanese looks wrong.
Please tell me — this is the most useful kind of message I can get. A reading that teaches an untruth is the one mistake this app has no right to make, and it is the one a learner cannot spot on their own. Include the word and the sentence if you can.
A question felt unfair.
If one of the wrong options looked like it could also be correct, that is a bug in the content, not in your Japanese. Some words genuinely have two readings and are meant to be excluded from reading questions; if one slipped through, I want to know.
A sentence written by AI looks suspicious.
A model's answers can be wrong, and they are a hint rather than a verdict. Words and sentences from AI are shown to you before they are added, you decide what enters your study, and they are marked as such in the word's details. If something is off — write in, and include that sentence.
Is there a Polish version?
Yes. The interface works in English and Polish, and the language is switched in Settings.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by the developer. Requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
The other apps
Kaname (grammar), Katsuyokei (conjugation), Joshi (particles) and Kazoekata (counters) are separate apps with separate purchases, by the same author.

Privacy

The learning runs entirely on your device and without an internet connection, and a photo is read on the phone and never leaves it. The only features that send anything are the optional AI features, and they send only a sentence you confirm yourself, or one entry from your vocabulary. The details are in the privacy policy.
